We had Girl's Camp this week and shhh don't tell anyone, but we went to St. George and had an absolute BLAST! Everything turned out beautifully. The weather was amazing. No drama from the girls. Leaders enjoyed themselves. Lots of beautiful scenery. Lots of great food (Thanks Rusti)! I seriously couldn't have asked for a better camp. I was the assistant camp director this year for our ward. We did fundraisers and lots of planning to pull this off, but it was well worth it. We did some amazing things and made some wonderful memories. We stopped and toured Cove Fort on our way to St. George. Then we went to Tuachan to watch Footloose. The next day we spent in Zion's National Park hiking to the Emerald Pools, the Weeping Rock and driving through the famous tunnel. Afterwards, we hiked to the Pioneer Names in Snow Canyon State Park as well as played on the sand dunes down there. Thursday we went and did Baptisms for the dead in the St. George Temple and toured Brigham Young's Winter home. Later that day, we hiked to some caves in Snow Canyon State Park. Friday we worked at the Dixie Care and Share Homeless Shelter/Food Bank sorting food. Then back to camp to play on the petrified dunes before heading home. This doesn't include all the wonderful talks, devotionals, skits, testimony meetings etc. As you can see we were jam pack full of stuff to do and we did it all and boy did we have fun! The girls were the like Energizer bunnies--they just kept going and going and going. Oh, and Julie and I ran from the top of Snow Canyon State Park to the bottom one morning at 6 am. It was beautiful. It was a 4 mile paved path and it was absolutely amazing!

You should have called! We could have had an activity at my house. It would have help with my sadness about not going to girls camp this year :)
Why don't I ever get to go to girl's camp? :( Glad everyone had such a great time!
