Yesterday was Dawson's Birthday! To celebrate we went to Tanner's "Battle of the Bands". (See Battle of the Bands post.) Then we came home and had cake and ice cream. All he wanted for his birthday was money, so that's what we gave him. He chose pizza for his birthday dinner. (I always let the kids pick dinner on their birthday.)

Today, we had a birthday party for Dawson and Peyton. (The last few years, we've done a joint birthday party for the two of them even though Peyton's birthday is the first of January. His birthday is literally right when they go back to school from the Christmas holiday and I just can't seem to get it together that fast. So we wait and do a joint party. So far they really have seemed to enjoy it!) We had some cousins and a few friends come over for a "Football" party. When asked who they wanted to invite, they only picked kids they knew would love to play football! The kids all dressed in football jerseys or team colors. Then they played football on the school field (James of course played too). We also had a football throwing contest--throwing the football into a basket. Then, time for a football pinata! Afterward, we came back to the house for presents, cake and ice cream. The kids all had a blast!

Tina, your boys sound just like Mckray. He has football on the brain. He loves it and can't get enough.
