Happy Birthday James!

For James' birthday, he and I went out to eat and Joe Bandidos. Yummy! His sister made a delicious cake (which meant I didn't have to). Later that night, Jason brought over a gift- he bought them matching "Greatest American Hero" t-shirts. So here is the funny story about that:

When they were younger, they both loved "The Greatest American Hero" and decided to make matching capes while they were playing and pretending to BE the "Greatest American Hero". So they used their red superman capes and decided to try and find the logo to finish the costume off. Since they were only like 8 and 9, they couldn't remember what the logo looked like exactly (remember they didn't have TiVo back then to just watch the show and see). But they knew it was a circle and it was red, white and black. Well, they found a book in their mom and dad's room that had a logo on it. They were so excited that they had found the "Greatest American Hero" logo and they copied it onto white material and pinned it to their capes. They were so proud of themselves and ran around the neighborhood for quite some time before their mom saw them and was horrified! They had drawn swastikas on the back of their capes thinking it was the logo they were looking for!

So when James opened his present (his t-shirt), Jason had taped paper swastikas to the front in memory of their childhood. They wouldn't let me post those pictures for obvious reasons, but although morbid, I thought the story was quite funny and had to share.
