Tanner's "unofficial mission farewell" was on Sunday Jan. 30, 2011. His talk was amazing. We had lots of friends and family there to show their support for him. We had an open-house afterwards at my mom's with lots of food. Tanner was officially set apart as a missionary on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011. He entered the MTC on Feb. 2, 2011 after a tearful goodbye.
